FAQ
What happens when I press Request to Join Project
If you want to be a member of a project press the 'Request to Join Project" on the project front page. On the next page you will have to write you motivations for becoming a project member. On submit, this will generate an email to the project administrator who will then decide if you can be a member.
What does it mean to be member of the project?
Project members can have different roles in the project. It is the the project administrator who decides your role. Some members will have access to everything in the project. Other members may have restricted access.
How can I create my own project?
Simply login to the Repository section of the AnyScript.org and go to the project section and click the button Add new Project
Then you have to fill in information about your project, this info icnludes:
- Project Name
- Project purpose
- Public description of the project
- Project UNIX name
- License type
- Topic for project
Once these and other info has been filled in, then the project proposal is sent to the Administrator of the site for approval. Whether the project is approved or not depends on the description of the project purpose. The project should be someway related to an AnyBody model in order to be approved.
Once the project is approved, the project exists and you have the administrator rights on this project.
What is a Snippet?
If you have something to share with other users but this is too small to justify defining a new project but would be of interest to many users, then this is the place to upload it, all users will get access to it immediately. Also if you are looking for a particular model of some specific task this may be the place to find it. The procedure to share is very easy, just press “Add new Snippet” and fill in the information requested. Please try to find the best category for your files, if it is a model running with a certain repository just upload the application part of it and write in the description which repository release it is running together with.
Can I delete a project?
The project administrator can delete his projects
What is a Project Tree?
The project tree, also known as the Trove Map, is simply a categorization scheme. Project administrators can assign their project to many categories. This makes it easier to find the project for third parties via different routes.
Can the available Trove Map Project Tree be changed?
Only by the site administrator, so please send a request , indicating the desired change
- Click the "My Projects" paragraph

That the project is public does not mean that all item in the project is public, the visibility can be controlled by the administrator. Only registered project members will be able to change content in the project.
Can a project visibility change from private to public?
Yes this is controlled by the project administrator, after having made the project public, each section in the project can be made public.
